| 2003-01-24 I am researching my husband's great-great grandfather (Harry Nelson) who was from Sweden. He was born before 1850 in Sweden and came to the United States on a ship that went to New Orleans, Louisiana and was denied to stay and when the ship was leaving the mouth of the Mississippi River he jumped ship and settled in New Orleans, LA or Bay St. Louis, Mississippi.
